DIRECT DRIVE AUDIOPHILE PRECISION
STST HI-FI Manufacturer is a German Hi-Fi company founded by Stefan Strohmetz in 1985.
They make two turntables called Motus and Motus II. These utilise an in-house designed direct-drive motor. The Motus is a fixed design whereas the Motus II has the motor & tonearm base mounted on a separate sub-chassis which is carried on a fully sprung suspension system.
The Motus uses a low torque approach, unlike the Technics’ typical high-torque DJ system. Low torque is a good thing for audiophiles.
Both models can be supplied in a variety of wood veneered plinths with a choice of matching or contrasting top plates. Each is supplied with a separate small power supply that feeds 18V to the turntable.
On-board electronics make 33.33 and 45 RPM available via a small switch located beneath the front edge of the plinth. The turntables come with a 10-year guarantee.

Motus II Direct Drive turntable
DESCRIPTION
The STSTS – Motus II Direct Drive turntable
Offers what Stefan calls a “Solid-State-Masse-Laufwerke”, which we translate into Direct Drive Heavy Mass Turntable. This turntable is using a spring-loaded sub-chassis allowing perfect isolation from external vibrations. It performs in 33 +1/3 and 45 RPM speeds.
Once you have processed with your order you will be offered a vast choice of veneers for your plinth. You can also choose a RAL color for painting it.
The top plate is either supplied in the same finish as the bottom plinth or available in these different finishes: color-acry-glass, aluminium black or silver elox, chrome gloss, stainless steel look, or carbon (at additional cost).
